820 Reintegration

The Next Step Women and Children’s Program is an OASAS Certified 820-Reintegration Treatment Program for pregnant women and women with their children 6 years of age and younger. Women are able to bring their newborns back to the program with them and have access to a first-floor nursery for the first few weeks as they acclimate to having their baby with them. The program is staffed 24 hours a day so there is constant support available.

Residents participate in person centered treatment that is tailored to each resident’s individual needs. Every part of our program is designed to help women prepare to re-enter society and live a healthy, substance-free lifestyle, while simultaneously providing parenting skills and support. We offer a home-like environment that includes a playroom and outdoor space with a playground.

In addition to in-house services, we help connect women to outpatient providers to help manage physical and mental well-being. By the time women complete the program, they will be established with community medical and mental health providers. We assist residents with both vocational and educational needs. Furthermore, we offer assistance with CPS and legal responsibilities on a case-by-case basis. As a Women and Children’s program, we value family relationships, and we strive to help clients build a sober support network both in the community and in the home. We also work to encourage women to further develop their life skills to improve their daily functioning, while maintaining long-term sobriety.

Our residents must be willing to participate in all program activities; demonstrate progress in identifying negative and unhealthy coping skills; develop positive coping skills; and make the changes necessary to reach recovery goals. Our staff consists of professionals with years of experience and knowledge. We do not discriminate based on religious belief, race, ethnic origin, social or economic status, or sexual preference. We strive to ensure that our facility and clinical services provide you with a safe, supportive and substance-free environment.
